Vegan Safe supplements & Herbals from Veganicity!

Vegan Society registered  and ethically sourced the range of vitamin and herbal supplements from Veganicity -by Health Plus offer you great value without compromise on quality. Of course by being 100% vegan, Veganicity products are also suitable for vegetarians, coeliacs, diabetics and everyone that's looking to avoid unnecessary ingredients in their supplements.

I received the extensive product guide and was impressed by the huge range they offer. There are over 28 herbal tinctures and vitamins and they are listed with a clear code system to tell you if they are right for you. There are codes for sugar, gluten, wheat, yeast and vegetarian. So you are never in any doubt, for many vegans its a minefield out there when choosing health products but here they can be sure its all OK for them as this is a Vegan Society registered company.

The range is divided into sub-sections and the website is easy to navigate.

Vitamins, Minerals, Multivitamins, Herbal Products, Glucosamine and many others, to cover:
• Antioxidants & Immune Support
• General Health
• Bone & Joint Health
• Heart Health
• Men's Health
• Women's Health
• Eye Health
• Detox
• Digestive Health
• Weight Control
• Energy
• Memory & Mood

The sample product I received to test was 'Feverfew Tincture'. Traditionally used for the relief of head aches and stress since ancient Greek times. In the garden it can be spotted as a small daisy flower which is strangely unpopular with bees, apparently they don't like the smell!

The English used it into the seventeenth century for symptoms that might translate today into vertigo, depression, and headache, as well as for lowering fever.

I am lucky enough not to be a sufferer of headaches but sampled the ferverfew tincture to reduce sinus pressure. Taking 15-20 drops in water twice a day I noticed less tension in the sinus region and in my jaw. The tincture was a bearable flavour and quick to take. You could take it with a little honey or juice if you don't like the flavour.

Over all after perusing the veganicity website I am suitable impressed and one of the things that really excited me was that they are very big on driving home the ethical products message. They put their money where their mouth is and were given endorsement 100% Vegan Society Registered by the Vegan society because of their mission statement;

Every Veganicity product proudly bears the insignia of the world-renowned Vegan Society.
For every ingredient that we use in a product, we have to declare to the Society that:

"the manufacture and development of the ingredient contained in the product put forward for registration with the Vegan Society does not and has not involved the use of any animal product, by-product or derivative and do not or have not involved testing of any sort (this includes testing for efficacy, toxicity, cosmetic purposes, etc) on animals conducted at the initiative of my company, or on its behalf or by parties over whom I have effective control."

This means that every time you purchase a Veganicity product, you can be sure that your money is being spent on products that are 100% ethical and 100% in-line with your lifestyle.

There is also this added bonus.........................

Looking after our environment

Veganicity...................

recognise that our work may have a direct or indirect impact on the local, regional and global environment. We are committed to reducing any harm our activities may have on the environment and would wish to promote the understanding of sustainability in its broadest context.

Our ethical and environmental stance is to constantly internally audit our processes and procedures whilst looking for new ways in which we can reduce our impact on the environment, and where appropriate link and work with other like-minded organisations.
Our strategy will focus on:
  • Reducing Waste
  • Energy and Water saving
  • Environmental Purchasing
  • Repairing rather than throwing away
  • Travel
  • Recycling
As this strategy becomes more established we aim to encourage our staff and customers to become responsible green citizens.
All Veganicity pots are made from recyclable PET, and if your local council offers the facility we would encourage you to recycle all your old pots. We are also investigating the possibility of using pots that are made from recycled PET, although currently this technology is in the early stages of development and we need to make sure that it is suitable for use when packing food products.

All the packaging that we use for sending your order to you is also recyclable.
