EVEN THOSE WHO TAN EASILY SHOULD USE A SUN-SCREEN OF AT LEAST FACTOR 10SPF. THOSE WITH FAIRER SKIN SHOULD GO FOR A HIGHER SPECTRUM 20+. TRY TO USE CHEMICAL/PARABEN FREE TYPE OF SUNSCREEN BECAUSE ITS SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN THAT 70% OF WHAT WE PUT ON OUR SKIN ENTERS OUR BLOOD-STREAM! YOU CAN FIND NATURAL ZINC AlTERNATIVES AT YOUR LOCAL HEALTH SHOP.
RED BURNT SKIN IS DAMAGED SKIN, THOUGH SKIN CANCER HAS BEEN WIDELY TALKED ABOUT IN THE PRESS STILL PEOPLE SEEM INTENT IN COOKING THEMSELVES TO GET THAT TAN TO DIE FOR! BURNING OCCUR WHEN THE BODY CANNOT PRODUCE MELOLIN QUICK ENOUGH RESULTING IN RED BURN SKIN. OUCH!

WHAT I HAVE STARTED DOING IS PREPARING MY BODY'S DEFENCES FROM THE INSIDE TO RECEIVE THE SUN'S RAYS ON THE OUTSIDE.
The humble tomato could be the key to more effective sun protection. Tomatoes contain Lycopene - which is a potent antioxidant that could potentially protect the skin whilst in the sun and helps skin that is already suffering substantial sun damage. Lycopene is found in tomatoes and other red fruits (it provides the red colour) but its concentration is particularly high in cooked tomato products like tomato sauces and tomato puree/paste, even ketchup!

- Aloe vera gel to heal and calm sun-exposed dry skin
